Lee J made his first film with his younger brother at the age of ten, a stop motion film using his toy transformers, on his father's old film camera. After years of writing stories (as a way of satisfying the need to be creative) and doing a creative writing course, Lee decided to begin writing screenplays and learn film making. He enrolled on and completed the Raindance Filmmakers Certificate course and 16mm film making course at South Thames College, as well as studying the techniques employed by the best screenwriters. Lee's main aim in film making is to make interesting films with a distinctive style. As such, the directors who influence him the most are Quentin Tarantino, Spike Lee and Tim Burton.
Lee J has also completed a micro short film which has entered in the Nokia 15 seconds film competition.
